**Surprise Re-release:** SSL Throw!

Guys, just last night, I got a notification about this little surprise...

Yes, the ever-sought-after SSL throw is back in stock, for a limited time!

There's only 18 left right now, so if want one, now is a very rare chance to get one new.

As some of you may know, I recently got my grail SSL throw, but it was not a happy transaction whatsoever...around September, I arranged to buy two new release hoods and trade them both for this throw, but it all went to shit when she decided to Block me on social media and the like, after taking one hood, then only after threatening and actually starting to get the law involved was she even slightly co-operative. 

I received the throw only a couple of weeks ago now, and the transaction still isn't fully over - it has put a whole lot of stress on me,  more so than I think most material things could ever be worth.

However, I initiated this trade only after waiting and asking Spirithoods several times if they ever had plans to restock it (I only saw it released once, where as all the other throws have been re-released multiple times) and they said no...

So yes, despite this being great news for a lot of people who really wanted this throw....I'm actually more than a little pissed and upset.

As for the throw itself though, I can't recommend it enough - it is by far my favourite they've ever released, and not just for its looks, but the feel -- both the fur and liner are surprisingly soft, which definitely was a surprise to me, after having the Grey Wolf throw, which I think is actually pretty course, on both sides. The liner here is totally different -- much kinder to the skin.

However, it is also a little thinner than the Grey Wolf one...

Now, as I said the release was very sudden and it seemed they had less than 10, that's for sure, because they went very quickly, but we've been assured that they will be restocking, and that this was just a bit of a tester, so if you want a chance at this kitty robe, be sure to sign up for restocks, and keep your eyes open!

(Also, remember to check your size before you buy - the clothing from SH can be a strange fitting to our usual, so it is worth checking the measurements on the page!)

Aside from that little sneaky bugger, there has just been another release announcement, and it is so pretty!

Now, it seems not a huge bunch of people are too fussed about another grey/blue combo, or in fact another timber wolf, but everyone can agree that the liner is fantastic, and...well, I love grey, blue, frosty looking things in general, so I'm sold!

However, I can't afford to get this one myself, so I'll be putting it up in my want list for trades. :(

** New Release** A New Shawl!

Hiya guys!

I hope Black Friday and Cyber Monday Sales worked in your favour, whether it was Spirithoods you were chasing, or otherwise!

I managed to snag some hoods, but they won't be with me til around Christmas if not after...someone is holding them for me. Can't wait to see them though - definitely some of my favourites in a while, so very glad I could snag them!

They released the Snow Leopard Coat for the sale too, which I really want, but there's no way I could afford, even with the discount...but it doesn't matter too much. I prefer hoods generally anyway.

Now, it seems there is a new Shawl dropping very shortly, and it is seriously gorgeous, and a perfect start to the Winter Collection Page!

** Release: ** Surprise Bunnies!

Yeesh, I have a sick day and SH go all-out on me!

They released a gorgeous Brown Bunny hood, which is now available, and also, the long-awaited Rabbit Coat!

Unfortunately, it doesn't seem that the rabbit coat actually has ears, which is a huge shame and disappointment for quite a few people, but still it looks gorgeous, and perhaps people would prefer a coat that is more "toned down" in the ears...

Either way, I don't think they've released any Rabbit item other than the actual hoods, that have ears...

Another surprise upcoming though, is a Red Fox CE!

This baby will drop on November 17th, at the usual time, and I honestly recommend you grab this one!

This liner was shown on another hood (a bear specifically) at the sample sale earlier in the year, and it was drop-dead-gorgeous!

I am sorely disappointed that I can't get it, but it will definitely be going on my Want List.

Can't Make My Mind Up!

Hi, all!

I've been going through all my tabs and so on recently, trying to decide on which hoods to sell, and which I want to keep, but there's so much conflict, and I keep changing my mind last second before listing! :(

Mostly I am stuck with the Sunkissed Fox, Grey Wolf Navajo and Water Wolf...

The Sunkissed Fox is absolutely gorgeous, but I seriously do *not* suit it whatsoever. 

Honestly, I mostly wanted it for the liner -- to swap with another hood and attempt to do something Okami themed...I've never seen a liner more suited for Amaterasu, and I got an Arctic Wolf to start it up one day...but I just feel so guilty, and I'm not sure it will work....or how to put red into the white fur...hmm. 

The Navajo....
I am a fan of all that line, as well as the Warriors and Tuscan...they're pretty much my favourites and were my first quest to find when I joined the sales groups and what-not...

Still, I got this guy, but ended up with a Grey Wolf Warrior HB3 not long after, and have not used the Navajo again since...I've taken pictures of it for sale/trade purposes, but then just...don't wanna list it, cause it makes me sad!

Hopefully I'll get used to it....

Lastly, the Water Wolf...

kind of the same deal - I got it ages ago, absolutely love it, but discovered that they have HB3 Water Wolves, and I'd definitely use one of those more.

However, I can't afford to buy one, but don't want to sell the one I have if I'm not sure I'll have a replacement...they don't show up every day.

...I'll have to go through the lot again, see what pops up.

Keep checking my lists for sales/trades and stuff though! : )

Release: Husky Dreamin'

Another surprise, guys!

The CE Husky Dreamin' will be released at the same time as the previously posted Brown Husky, on the 10th, at 10am PT.

I remember this awesome liner making an appearance at the Sample Sale earlier this year, but I am kinda sad that it is the Husky they chose to put it on... 

I'd have preferred a darker one -- maybe a bear?

But then, I don't think the Golden Bear suits the Galaxy Liner so much either..perhaps I am a strange minority!

Last Minute Releases! ("Infinity Scarf"?)

Hiya guys, hope you all had a fantastic Halloween, and Guy Fawkes Night!

Last night, I was just browsing around online, and I got a notification from SH that they have dropped two surprise items, and another is still to come!

The two that dropped are as follows:

Black Wolf Infinity Scarf

Mystic Wolf CE

The Infinity Scarf is certainly a new product from the company.

It isn't very easy to see, but the paws are sewn together so there's no "pawkets", just a scarf.

Personally, I'm really not sure about the idea... especially not with the super short fur... 

The buttons around the neck area of hoods work just as well, and so do shawls, if you think about it... also, as a Black Wolf keeper...I'm not fond of that fur at all. 

Perhaps it is worth keeping an eye on, for owner pics...recently, the company pictures have not done hood releases much justice.

The new Mystic Wolf, I am definitely a fan of though.

The fur looks great, textured and the liner... I'm a big lover of black and white, and tie-dye effects, so it is perfect in my opinion...also, I think it kinda looks like a spine... I have a similar effect on my glasses, haha.

Really wish I could justify getting one, but after a New Moon Wolf, the the B/W grey wolf after... I think they'd be too similar...guess we'll see.

As for the upcoming...

CE Brown Husky

This guy is going to drop on Nov 10th, at the usual time of 10am PT.

(or around 6pm UK time)

The liner on this guy looks great, I think, but not a big keeper of Husky hoods.

However, another much-anticipated beauty has been unveiled recently...

The Galaxy Bear does not have a specific release date yet, but a whole lot of people have been requesting it, so if you want it... keep your ear close to the ground!

There's also a couple of new babies that have been spoken about, but I can't say anything quite yet... basically a lot of excitement still to come...

Golden Gallery?

One of my big plans for this blog is to make up a page I plan to call Golden Gallery...
My hope for it is, that will be a list (gallery) of all the Golden Ticket/one-off hoods that we know of, and I am thinking of adding rare ones, samples, stuff like that...

Now, I did get some help from keepers and collectors, and have acquired a good amount of images, but it is still going to take some time to research...so if anyone is up for helping me at all, please get in touch!

I need images of said hood, the name of it, how many there are, and the year it was made.
I'm also looking for someone to help organise the ones I do have already...people tend to keep pretty quiet on these details, most likely so they won't be hounded by people who want to buy them, but I can promise you that I will not be sharing any names or info on whoever owns the hood, and will only include a picture of it worn if you're happy to share it.

So...keep yours eyes open for that, when it pops up! : )

Cruelty Free?!

Hi guys!

I just wanted to address something that I've seen a lot of discussion of when it comes to Spirithoods...the use of FUR.
The official site and social media groups get asked (and  angrily called out) quite a bit, that they should not be using fur, and it makes them far from animal friendly...

Honestly, I wish people would do just a little more research into things before they go parading around, accusing and insulting.

Let me be clear. Spirithoods do *not* use real fur in any of their products. In fact, they are well into a lot of causes to help animals, which is very clear when you click on the ABOUT section on their site.

My guess is that people don't really understand the meaning of the word Faux, or perhaps just see and connect Fur>>Faux>>>Fox.

I can assure you that, that is not the case at all.
Faux is in fact an old French word, I believe, that actually means Fake, False, Imitation, etc.
Faux Fur is actually made from various Synthetic Fibres, which have caused enough debate on their ethicality.

Now, please feel free to check out any and all the links provided to get a decent idea of the materials used, and of course, it will always be an individual's choice on whether they prefer animal-based products, or cruelty free...but please, if you decide to purchase Spirithoods or not, let it be for the right reasons.

Sorry again for the quiet-time -- it was my birthday on the 11th and my best friend came to stay with me for the week. It was great to finally catch up again, and now I have my grail bunny hood, we were bunnies together on my birthday! :D

Sorry for the silence - I was down with the sickness for a while there, so have fallen more than a little behind!
Hope everyone who wanted to get the Siberian Husky got there -- I have one on the way to my Smuggle Mum, which I'm very excited about!

Also, prepping for the fall/winter releases, and some grails, I've been going through my hoods again, so the Want and Sale/Trade lists are now updated, so please take a look!
